About the series
It’s a real show. They’re not real people.
Backstage Business is a character-led comedy about the absurd business of putting on local live music: the booker with three calendars, the promoter counting “Interested” clicks, the guitarist whose career depends on his sister’s van, the venue owner running a two-chair room like a cultural institution, and the production company owner who knows exactly who Keith is.
Every character and incident is fictional. We borrow the problem and invent the incident. If a scene feels familiar, that’s because local shows really are like this.
The series is AI-assisted. Images, motion and character voices are generated with AI tools from original scripts, then edited, captioned and checked by people. We label AI content on every platform that asks.
An original series from Artistek. Artistek builds booking, ticketing and shop tools for live music. See the Artistek ecosystem.

Sponsor an episode
We work with brands the cast would plausibly meet backstage: gear, hearing protection, road cases, rehearsal spaces and music services. Sponsored episodes are always clearly labeled, and the product has to earn its place in the joke.
